      Use and Care

      These versatile glasses have a finish that is resistant to wear and fading but is not durable enough to be put in the dishwasher or thrown into a backpack unprotected. To maintain the elegant finish, hand wash only (and avoid wearing rings). If you put them in the dishwasher it will not affect the insulation or hurt the product but will potentially chip the paint or cause peeling. Avoid using harsh detergents or bleach. If you aren’t going to wash glasses right away, give them a quick water rinse.

      Q: Can I freeze or chill the glasses before using them?

      A: Putting glasses in the fridge or freezer won’t hurt the glasses, but it isn’t necessary as the steel quickly takes on the temperature of the drink when you pour it in.  In addition, if you chill or freeze the glass, it will make the outside of the glass cold, which isn’t comfortable to hold and won’t improve the insulation effectiveness.  We recommend chilling your beverage to the desired temperature vs. the glass.

      Q: How do I minimize ice melt?

      A: There are a few things you can do to keep your ice cubes from melting while enjoying your drink. First, the larger the ice cube the better. But most importantly, the ices cubes need to be “dry”.  If the ice is “wet”, it is already melting.  Fill the glass completely with dry ice, and make sure that your mixers are chilled ahead of time.  Forgot to chill them? You can wrap them in a wet paper towel and put them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to get them icy cold.

      Q: Why 1mm rims on the glasses?

      A: The top edge of the glass is where your mouth meets your drink. The best crystal glasses have a thin, smooth rim that doesn’t get in the way of the flow to your lips, so you experience the taste of the drink and not the glass.  Glasses with thick rims are made that way to avoid chipping and breakage, which isn’t a concern with stainless steel, so we made all of our glasses with a nice thin rim.

      Exactly what I wanted, but not what was described

      I wanted a nice drinking cup for my desk at work. I wanted something easy to clean with a little durability in case someone bumps it. I hate plastic cups so this seemed like a good alternative. The walls on this cup are very thin which feels great. It also doesn't have that "tinny" taste you sometimes get with metal cups; this has no taste at all really. Also despite being matte black, the outside wall doesn't pick up smudges much. I also notice that my drinks stay nice and cool. My only complaint (which isn't really a complaint) is the color is listed incorrectly int he product description. The accent isn't gold, it's copper/rose gold (think the same colors of a Duracell Battery). I actually bought it for these colors so it's not an issue for me, but be aware, you will not get the bright metallic yellow of gold, you will get the ruddy pinkish color of copper/rose gold. Still beautiful, but not how the product is described int he listing.

      Much nicer than previous model

      I had 4 of these that lasted about 3 or 4 years before the black started flaking off. I really like them because they strangely keep my coffee hot. Hotter than a yeti with a lid. Because of its slim design the heat doesn’t disípate I guess.Anyway, the metal on these glasses are thicker AND bonus - it has rubber on the bottom. I never had a problem with the prior ones slipping or falling over - once you set this one down, they are not going anywhere. These aren’t quite as tall as the old ones - but overall the quality is better. And the quality was fabulous before. Definitely a 5 star buy.
